Child/Youth Programs.  Must favorably pass the required security background and health checks. Prior experience working with children and/or youth preferred.

CY-1702-01-Entry  $14.06 PER HOUR (must have a HS diploma or GED)

CY-1702-02-Target $17.46 PER HOUR (must have AA/AS or higher in qualified fields or CDA/MSA/Completion of Modules with 12 months experience working w/child and youth. Qualified degrees include Early Childhood Education (ECE), Youth Recreation, Physical Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Youth Development, Psychology, Social Work, Home Economics with an emphasis in Human Development, Sociology)                               

Minimum Qualifications for all Child and Youth Program Positions: At least 18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent. Speak, read and write English. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to promote and foster effective working relationships with children, youth and co-workers. Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, and kneel, and be physically able to perform duties with children at their height level, sit on the floor, sit on down-sized furniture and participate in children’s recreational activities.  Prolonged standing, walking and sitting is required. REQUIREMENT: You are applying for a Federal Government position. Marijuana is a Schedule One drug under the Controlled Substances Act and therefore use of marijuana is illegal under Federal law. You will not be offered employment in this Federal position if your drug screening indicates that you have been using marijuana, even though the use of marijuana may be considered legal under state law.  A positive drug test result for marijuana (or any other controlled substance) will result in withdrawal of the tentative job offer and ineligibility to apply for a position within the Department of Defense for six months from the date of the drug test." Position is subject to special inoculation and immunization requirements as a condition of employment for working with children. Employee is required to obtain appropriate immunization against communicable diseases in accordance with recommendations from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), which includes the influenza vaccine


Flexible Position (0-40hours/week)
