2024 Winter Wonderland, Presented by USAA.
You're invited to celebrate the Holidays with us at the 2024 Winter Wonderland. This long standing NBVC event started as a special event put on by the Child & Youth Programs and it quickly grew to become an NBVC tradition that continues to get bigger and brighter every year. This free evening of Holiday excitement and fun is scheduled for Saturday, December 14 from 4 pm – 8 pm (rain or shine) at Stingers Park, NBVC Port Hueneme, bldg. 5354.
The event will feature 20 tons of fresh snow, toy giveaways, carnival games, bounce houses, the north pole express train ride, a beer garden, crafts, photos with Santa, and more.
Real Snow!
You can’t have a winter wonderland without snow! We are bringing in 20 tons of fresh snow for everyone to enjoy. There will be a snow sliding area for kids and adults ages 6 and up. For our younger visitors a separate dedicated snow play area will be available for kids 5 and under to enjoy. The snow activities are free to experience all evening long.
Free Photos with Santa
Make sure to take the opportunity to get your free photo with Santa. Each guest will receive a hard copy and a digital to share with family and friends.
North Pole Express Train Ride
Hop aboard the North Pole express and take a magical ride hot coco. The Train ride will require tickets to experience. Tickets will be available for purchase at the ticket booth, MWR is cashless we do accept all cards.
Toy Giveaway
Thanks to our generous Sponsors the Oxnard Ambassadors all kids in attendance this year will receive an unwrapped toy (while supplies last). Toys will be distributed from the Stingers Park stage. Limit one toy per child, while supplies last.
Beverage Station
The MWR beverage station will available for all hands serving both alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic items. Must be 21 and over to purchase adult beverages. We will be serving a select beer & cocktail menu all evening. Remember to please enjoy sensibly. MWR is cashless. We accept all major cards.
Christmas Tree Giveaway
We are once again partnering with the Christmas Spirit Foundation as part of their Trees for Troops program to give away a limited number of live Christmas trees to the troops and families of NBVC. Trees are available on a first come first served basis and open to active duty personnel or their spouses only. A strict limit of 1-tree per household is in effect due to the limited number of trees available.
Persons wanting a tree must pre-register and will be required to show your ID at the tree lot to claim a tree. Pre-Registration will be opening soon, please stay posted.
Playground, Inflatables & Ornament Decorating Craft
All kids are welcome to utilize the Stingers Park playground during the event. We will have a lineup of inflatables for kids to play in as well. Access to the inflatables is free for all ages, no purchase required.
Decorate cookies or a get creative with the Holiday crafts station for kids and adults. Crafts will require a purchased ticket to participate.
Carnival Games
Try your hand at our carnival game row to win prizes. Attendees must purchase tickets to play games. Games may require a different number of tickets to play. Tickets are only $1 each.
Save some dough with the purchase of a ticket book. Each book includes10 tickets for only $9.00. Tickets and ticket books are available for purchase at the event, look for the booth. Please remember MWR is cashless, we accept all major cards.
