Child Development Homes (Ventura)

Child Development Homes (CDH) services are provided in on-base government and housing and off-base civilian housing. Our CDH providers are highly qualified professionals operating as independent businesses, providing care for children 6 weeks through 12 years. CDH providers offer small group sizes and home-like environments. The homes and CDH Providers are subject to the same high-quality standards for childcare as the Child Development Centers. CDH programs are supervised by CDH professionals through training, meetings, and monitored by monthly inspections and annual CDH certifications to ensure outstanding quality in childcare services. Providers may also become accredited by the National Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC).  For information on becoming a CDH provider call us today.

Curriculum and Assessment

CDH Providers are trained on developmentally appropriate practices and required to use a developmentally appropriate curriculum.

In addition, we support Providers' professional growth and development through ongoing assessments and quality improvement plans.

Accreditation & Certification

CDH Providers must demonstrate annually that they meet all of the Navy certification requirements before they are approved to operate a CDH.
