Winter Wonderland | December 12 | at Stingers Park
You're invited to celebrate the Holidays with us at the 2025 Winter Wonderland. An NBVC tradition that continues to get bigger and brighter every year. Bundle up and join MWR for a heartwarming celebration of winter fun. Bring the whole family and enjoy festive activities, cozy vibes, and endless holiday cheer. This free evening of Holiday excitement and fun is scheduled for Friday, December 12 from 4 pm – 8 pm (rain or shine) at Stingers Park, NBVC Port Hueneme, bldg. 5354.
The event will feature 20 tons of fresh snow, toy giveaways, an ice-skating rink, carnival games, bounce houses, a beer garden, photos with Santa, and more.
Real Snow!
You can’t have a winter wonderland without snow! We are bringing in 20 tons of fresh snow for everyone to enjoy. There will be a snow sliding area for kids and adults ages 6 and up. For our younger visitors a separate dedicated snow play area will be available for kids 5 and under to enjoy. The snow activities are free to experience all evening long. There is no cost to enjoy sledding or to enter the snow play area.
Free Photos with Santa
Make sure to take the opportunity to get your free photo with Santa. Each guest will receive a hard copy and a digital to share with family and friends.
Ice Skating Rink – new for 2025!
We’re adding to a whole new activity for our families this year with the addition of an ice-skating rink. Patrons of all ages are welcome to slip on some skates and cruse along the synthetic ice. Skating is limited to 10 min sessions to accommodate the crowd. Skating is First come first served; no signups needed. Skates in various sizes will be provided. Due to limited shoe sizes available patrons may encounter wait times. Restrictions may apply.
Toy Giveaway
Thanks to our generous Sponsors the Oxnard Ambassadors all kids in attendance this year will receive an unwrapped toy (while supplies last). Toys will be distributed from the Stingers Park stage. Limit one toy per child, while supplies last.
Christmas Tree Giveaway
We are once again partnering with the Christmas Spirit Foundation as part of their Trees for Troops program to give away a limited number of live Christmas trees to the troops and families of NBVC. Trees are available on a first come first served basis and open to active duty personnel or their spouses only. A strict limit of 1-tree per household is in effect due to the limited number of trees available.
Persons wanting a tree must pre-register and will be required to show your ID at the tree lot to claim a tree. Pre-Registration will be opening soon, please stay posted.
Playground, Inflatables
All kids are welcome to utilize the Stingers Park playground during the event. We will have a lineup of inflatables for kids to play in as well. Access to the inflatables is free for all ages, no purchase required.
Carnival Games
Try your hand at our carnival game row to win prizes. Tickets are required to play games. Games may require a different number of tickets to play. Tickets are only $1 each. Save a buck and purchase a Ticket book! Each book includes 10 tickets for only $9.00. Sales are cashless, we accept all major cards.
If you purchased tickets from pervious MWR events those tickets are valid for use at this event and all future MWR events where tickets are needed.
Beverage Station
The MWR beverage station will available for all hands serving both alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic items. Must be 21 and over to purchase adult beverages. We will be serving a select beer & cocktail menu all evening. Remember to please enjoy sensibly. MWR is cashless. We accept all major cards.
