Youth Programs

It’s such a special time when your children start school, and our Youth Programs (YP) are ready to help meet their needs before and after school. Our goal is to support your child’s development by offering high-quality programs that help build positive relationships with peers and caring adults. We provide sports and recreational activities that focus on building self-esteem, developing appropriate relationships, facilitating academic success, and making healthy choices. Take a look below at all the offerings we have available!

Before and After School Program

School-Age Care (SAC) program provides quality “out of school” activities for children who have started kindergarten up to sixth grade. Our program is designed to enhance rather than duplicate the school day, we are affiliated with The Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) and offer 4-H programs. SAC offers before- and after- school programs as well as hourly care. Children can utilize hourly care up to 10 hours per week during the school year.  Our counselors schedule developmentally appropriate activities in core programming areas and technology are planned based on knowledge of youth development and needs and interests of our children enrolled. SAC programs are DoD certified and nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA). This program is designed to meet the needs of school-aged youth (kindergarten through 6th grade) in the hours before and after school. Before and After School Programs include activities while offering parents peace of mind by providing a safe and supportive place for children and youth to engage in activities that promote and develop positive values, community contribution, reinforce educational skills, promote physical fitness and explore career development. We work with our partners, the Boys & Girls Clubs, 4-H, and the National Academy of Youth Sports to have projects and activities that include building character, leadership, the arts and life skills and much, much more.

Day Camp / School Holidays

This full-day program is offered for school-aged youth (kindergarten through 6th grade) and is conducted during school holidays and summer/fall/winter vacation periods. Day camp activities include arts and crafts, sports, games, swimming, field trips, outdoor recreation, cultural programs, and special events.

Youth Sports

Play the Game and Enjoy the Sport
Our Youth Sports and Fitness (YSF) program plans, organizes and conducts sports leagues, skills clinics, camps, fitness/health classes, special sporting events, and outdoor recreation activities for children and youth 3 to 18 years old. Our Sports programs are affiliated with the National Alliance for Youth Sports. YSF provides the following baseline sports each year: Flag Football & Cheerleading, Soccer, Basketball, and Baseball for ages three to eighteen. We also provide locally selected sports such as golf, volleyball, start smart and home-school physical education and fitness programming.

YSF programs are driven with the support of volunteer coaches. If you have the talent or spirit of working with youth in developing their motor and social skills, please contact our YSF program for further information in regards to becoming a Volunteer Coach.

Our goal at the Navy Youth Sports experience is to teach the enjoyment of playing on a team as a character building activity without the pressure of a highly competitive program. We strive for participation, physical fitness, fair play, positive sportsmanship, and game skills. As members of the National Alliance for Youth Sports, we believe that every child regardless of their abilities should have an opportunity to positively benefit from meaningful participation. Volunteer coaches are greatly appreciated.
